Koskisen Panel Products Industry invests in colouring line

A rebuilt colouring line was recently started up at Koskisen Oy’s Järvelä plywood mill. The investment, worth several hundred thousands of euros, enables the production of plywood and chipboard panels for the needs of the interior decoration and furniture industries in colours to suit customer preferences. The panels are coloured one side at a time, making it possible to produce panels with a different colour on each side.

From 1st of January 2012, in many European countries, all sawn timber used in structural purposes has to be strength graded and CE-marked according to the norm EN 14081. We at Koskisen have strength graded and CE-marked all whitewood and redwood sawn timber that are 32 mm or thicker and quality of export VI and better since October 2010.

Koskisen’s product range has lately expanded with solutions for ships. New solutions provide light weight, high strength and hygiene to ship industry.

All products for ships are controlled by international classification agencies. Koskisen solutions for ships have certification of K-4687 and K-4688 for deck and linings.

All products for ships are coated with a taint and odour free overlay that makes them a perfect material for claddings in fishing vessels or vessels carrying foodstuffs. Any of the materials used do not corrode metal parts of fittings.

Som råvara för KoskiMel används rent trä. Andelen trä är ca 90 %, som mesta dels kommer ifrån Koskisen Oy´s egna produktionsanläggningar. En ren råvara garanterar hög kvalitet och goda bearbetningsegenskaper.

KoskiMel är en melaminbelagd möbelskiva av styrkegraden P2 och P5.
