Quality is result of thousands of tests

We monitor constantly the quality of our products. Not only in accordance with international standards but also at our own initiative. A multitude  of different tests and quality control measurements are taken both systematically and on random samples. Koskisen can also intergrate customer requests for control measurements and documentation into our normal way of operating.

In addition several other verification methods are used in quality certification,with different statistical methods employed in analysing the results.  With the help of these methods we can draw conclusions as to possible corrective actions. It is also our goal to diminish the divergence of the process and thus raise product uniformity.

Statistical analysis also helps in the design of new products. Wood is nature’s own raw material whose inhomogeneity sets tough challenges for the production process. The high technical demands of end products require optimisation, special and customer-specific solutions in it’s use and that is why it is very important to separately monitor at each stage the performance of the production process.

We also train our staff constantly about quality requirements both in production and in all our other operations. Training and analysis of quality is a part of Koskisen’s everyday operations, the production staff know most of our customers by name as well as their specific requirements in terms of quality.  Versatile production control systems have been created to accomodate these multitude of requirements,  it is not a challenge to us but rather an opportunity to create the most suitable product and service for the customer.
