We have carried the Koskisen name proudly for a hundred years and we will continue to do so in the future. That’s why you can rely on us.
Koskisen Oy is over hundred year’s old family business committed to wood. Over decades we have evolved into a wood industry expert. Our roots are in Kärkölä where Kalle Koskinen, the founder of the family business, started in the saw milling industry 1909. His path took Koskisen from being small co-operative in sawmilling to a manufacturer of quality wood products and a major employer in our area.
Kalle’s son Kalevi followed his father’s footsteps and expanded the company’s operations to include plywood, chipboard and construction industries in addition to sawmilling. Nowadays Koskisen’s operations are actively developed by third generation, Kalevi’s children Kari Koskinen, Markku Koskinen and Eva Wathén. Kari Koskinen is vice-chairman of the Koskitukki Board of Director’s and director of Russian operations. Eva Wathen is a member of the Board of Director’s and company’s Director of CSR and Brand.
Our operations are guided by our core values integrity, courage, creativity and profitability. Kalevi Koskisen’s words: If you don’t know what to do, do thing differently than others, have been import guideline in Koskisen’s journey to become internationally known expert in manufacturing wood products. Our aim is to surpass our customers’ expectations every time. We know all about the demands placed on the products’ end uses and we promote our customers’ businesses through innovative product and service solutions.
Excellence is only achieved through full commitment. That’s why Koskisen is Committed to Wood.
