Koskisen produces traditional standard construction timber, processed planed timber, planed goods, primed and painted panels from Finnish Pine (redwood) and Finnish Spruce (whitewood) and various customised cut-to-size products and special lengths especially for the needs of the joinery industry.
Modern technology makes it possible to cut a wide range of dimensions and guarantees precise measurements.
The saw mill’s further processing produces interior and exterior cladding panels, in addition to primed or painted, flooring boards and different components with the necessary machining for the furniture industry. Upgraded timber products are also utilized in the Group’s own production such as for roof trusses and houses.
The Kissakoski sawmill, leased by Koskisen, is an expert in small logs production and produces sound knotted timber to meet the special requirements of the joinery industry. Kissakoski is known for its shipping mark VERA.
KKN is Koskisen’s traditional spruce and pine sawn timber shipping mark. KKN timber is known for being a high quality wood raw material and for its precise production specifications. Sawing, drying and grading are the basic elements of producing quality sawn timber and are carried out according to a certified quality system. Koskisen’s strength graded timber also fulfils the requirements for CE marking.
